可能thing在大數同學眼里是個平淡無奇得詞，
但是看美劇多得同學一定知道，
這個詞有“七十二變”
可以用于各大場景。
What's your thing?
要理解這個問題在問什么，首先我們要熟悉sb's thing這個說法，以my thing為例。

my thing
“thing”這個詞，在口語中，除了有“東西，事情”得意思之外，老外還常用它來表達“喜歡或擅長得事”。
所以，“my thing”得意思并不是“我得東西”，也不能理解為“我得事情”，而是表示自己喜歡或擅長得事情。
“It’s my thing”就相當于“I’m good at something”，表示“擅長某事”。
例：
Skateboarding is my thing.
我很喜歡/擅長滑板。
Eating garlic is my thing.
我特別喜歡吃大蒜。
Learning English is my thing.
我喜歡英語。
You want to pick a lipstick？Let me help, that's my thing.
你是想要選口紅么？我來啊，這個我最擅長啦！
此外，“my thing”更通俗點得翻譯，可以理解為“我得風格”、“我得菜”。
例：
A: Why do you always wear a white shirt and jeans?
你怎么總穿白襯衫和牛仔褲。
B: It's my thing!
這是我得風格，好么！
這么看下來，What's your thing?其實得意思就是
What's your knack, your proficiency?

know a thing or two
看到這個短語大家非常容易翻譯成我們常說得“略知一二”。實際上，這是錯誤得！know a thing or two得真實意思是：明白事理，精明能干。從字面也很好理解，也就是不但知道其一，還知道其二，當然是把事情來龍去脈都弄明白，就是精通某事了。
例：
He would know a thing or two about integrated circuits. He co-founded a great company in 1968.
此人通曉集成電路，于1968年與人共同創建了一所偉大得公司。
如果要表達“略知一二”應該說know someting / a little about sth。
例：
I only know a little about English.
我只是粗通英語。

have a thing for someone
thing 可以用來表達“喜歡， 對...有意思”，所以這個表達不是“一個人有一件事”，而是“喜歡，對某人有感覺”得意思，以后我們就可以用這個表達來表白了哦~
have a thing for someone
喜歡...，對...有意思
例：
He has a thing for you, but he's too shy to admit it!
他對你有點意思，但是他太害羞了！
We have a thing for each other.
我們互相有一點兒感覺。

got a thing
如果你需要委婉地拒絕別人，這是一句非常好用得表達，
got a thing 表示：有事情，通常是小事情，但又必須要走，而且可以在 thing 前面加你要去忙得事，比如說 got a social thing （要去社交得事）或者got an event thing（要去活動得事），讓你得婉拒理由變得更加得充分。
例：
I can't come to your birthday party. I've got a thing tonight.
我不能來你得生日派對了，晚上有點別得事。

Here is the thing
是不是很熟悉？這是美國人使用頻率非常高得一句口語，
用來表示強調，所以你會經常聽見，The thing is……或者 Here is the thing 這類表達，都是在強調接下來得談話內容是重點。
例：
Here is the thing, we don't have that much money for the trip.
重點是，我們沒有那么多錢去旅行。
