英美語言中，用來表示年齡得介詞，常用得有in ,at, under, over 四個(gè)。
口訣助記:表示年齡介詞四，要把它們牢牢；
表示幾十幾復(fù)數(shù)前，介詞用in 放前面；
若是表示具體數(shù)，要用at, under 和over
at 表示是，under 表示少，over 是超過。
1、表示幾十幾時(shí)，要在幾十得復(fù)數(shù)前加in ，再加形容詞性物主代詞或名詞所有格，還可在復(fù)數(shù)前加上early, mid 或late, 但是十多歲只能用teens.。構(gòu)成短語:in +one’s /名詞所有格+幾十得復(fù)數(shù)。意思是“在某人幾十多歲時(shí)”。例如：
She began to learn Japanese in her early /mid /late thirties.
她三十二三（三十四五、三十八九)時(shí)才開始學(xué)日語。
2、at the age of 加具體數(shù)字表示在某人多大歲數(shù)時(shí)，也可以直接用“at +數(shù)字”，這種結(jié)構(gòu)是介詞短語作時(shí)間狀語，相當(dāng)于when 引導(dǎo)得時(shí)間狀語從句。
At ten Tom began to live by himself.
十歲時(shí)湯姆開始自謀生計(jì)。
At the age of eight he went to America with his parents.
八歲時(shí)他隨父母去了美國。（At the age ofeight =When he was eight )
3、under 加具體數(shù)表示低于某年齡。
The children under 4 can't take part in the games.
四歲以下得兒童不能參加這些感謝原創(chuàng)者分享。
4、over 加具體數(shù)字表示超過某年齡。
The girl is over nine years old.
